Fat, cross-eyed bunnies that are teapots must come home with me

Bunnies make me happy. (That is, bunnies that aren't eating my garden.) However, when I saw this guy in an antique shop, he made me laugh. He is so fat and cross-eyed, he had to come home with me. I bargained a bit with the proprietor who was happy to give me a discount. The fact that this bunny is a teapot, is even more appealing! He is holding his foot which makes the handle. How such a fat bunny was able to perform such an acrobatic feat is unknown. He makes me smile every time I pass him in the dining room. He is a wonderful addition to my Easter collection!

The only thing that would make it better is if you were sitting across the table from me. Miss you dear friend!

So I can't believe that I am seeing this rabbit teapot! As a child, I loved bunnies but was never allowed to have them. When I was little, I found this exact teapot in a store and bought it with my allowance money. It was one of my most treasured possessions - until the head fell off and broke about 10 years later. I was totally heartbroken. I've been looking ever since for a replacement head - I still have the original in pieces in a box - and every now and then I search for it online just to see if maybe another one exists. So this time, your blog came up when I searched! I don't suppose I could possibly convince you to sell it to me? It would mean so much... :)

Hey Marnie! He's a keeper for sure! I don't know if you know about the "Follow this Search" feature on Ebay. It will send an e-mail when anyone posts an item that meets your keywords. If you put in your search terms (like "teapot rabbit daffodil") and hit search, you will see some green words appear under your search term that say "Follow this search". click on it and it will automatically e-mail when anything is posted with those terms. Neato!

Can I ask what you paid for him? I have one identical and am wanting to know its value and possibly sell. Thanks!

Loree - I really don't remember. I don't think I spent more than $25.00 for him. If you look above, there is a comment of "Marnie Watson" looking to purchase one. Maybe she is your buyer! Best wishes.
