Spring Beauties blooming in our front garden

Our front flower gardens are planted and ready for the season. We stick with one color family for unity. Purple and blue are cool colors and tend to recede into the background making our gardens seem further from the street thus making our yard look larger. We also sometimes throw in a little white which goes with our main color quite nicely. The Cleome bush shown above is a newbie.

Here are a few pictures of what we planted:

Salvia

Phlox

Plumbago

Lobelia

Viola

Alyssum

Scabiosa

Rose

We also planted the following which haven't shown their blooms yet:

Snapdragon
Queens Ann Lace
Columbine Blue
Louisiana Iris
Delphenium

We are looking forward to enjoying our spring beauties all season.

Beautiful. I'm hoping to get out to the flower beds next week when life is a little less crazy. Love how you've done a color scheme. I killed most of my flowers last year when I got sick and forgot to ask my family to water the beds... looking forward to replanting this year. It's so relaxing to look out on the flowers and enjoy the beauty God has provided for us.
